“Allison joined Wealthway in August 2015. As Director of Financial Planning, Allison is responsible for developing and overseeing the firm’s financial planning process to continue to help our clients enhance their quality of life. Her talents are well-balanced between the numbers-oriented, technical side of the profession and the more personal, behavioral side.
Allison began her career in the financial services industry as a Senior Shareholder Account Representative at American Funds servicing Financial Advisers and their clients. From there, she went on to work for a money manager where she was responsible for assisting clients in developing and monitoring investment portfolios and conducting technical market analysis. During this time, she completed the Financial Planning program at Old Dominion University and obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Over the next three years, Allison held the position of Director of Financial Planning for a financial services firm in Virginia Beach. There, she created and built a financial planning department that offered a strong back-office and client facing planning resource to over 75 financial advisors. Earning the respect and trust of those she worked with, she developed and facilitated training for new and experienced advisers, teaching them how to provide a comprehensive and uniquely rewarding planning process to clients.
Allison is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Hampton Roads. She served on the board of directors for 7 years and was the 2018 President.
Allison grew up in Michigan and comes from a family of financial planners.
