Mike joined Wealthway Financial Advisors in June 2018 as an Associate Financial Advisor. He graduated from Clemson University in May 2018 with a B.S. in Financial Management and a concentration in Financial Planning. He plays an integral role in client meetings by using his technical knowledge to keep detailed notes, manage ongoing client follow-up, and prepare financial plan presentations. Mike passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam in March 2019 and is now working towards the experience requirement to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation within the next few years.
Mike’s interest in financial planning comes from his passion for helping others. From organizing food and toy drives, to helping underprivileged families complete their tax returns, he always looks to give back to his community. He has carried this passion into developing relationships with clients and coworkers and looks forward to continuing to help others with this skill set.
Mike grew up in a large and close-knit family in upstate New York. Through those relatives, he has strong ties to the Navy. His grandfather and several great-uncles were veterans of WWII and his great-uncle served in the Navy for over 20 years.
Mike has a strong passion for sports. He is an avid Clemson Tigers fan and was a student when they won the football National Championship in 2016. He also enjoys skiing and has visited a variety of mountains across the US.
