Josh joined Wealthway Financial Advisors in June 2019 as an Associate Financial Advisor. He graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2019 with a B.S. in Finance with the CFP® Certification Education Option. Attention to detail, ongoing client follow-ups and financial plan presentation preparation are integral to his client management role. Josh passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam in March 2020 and is now working towards the experience requirement to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation within the next few years./p>
Josh believes in helping others and giving back to the community. He has delivered food to the homeless and holiday gifts to the underprivileged in his hometown. This, along with his interest in the financial aspects of life, drove him to pursue financial planning.
Josh grew up just outside of Washington, D.C. in Fairfax, Virginia. He is very close with his family and makes time to visit them as much as possible. His grandparents have instilled respect for the Armed Forces in him due to having a grandfather who served as a field medic during WWII and another who served as an airplane mechanic for the Air Force during the Korean War.
Outside of work, Josh spends most of his time with his dog, Lucy. You might catch him on the Elizabeth River Trail running with Lucy early in the morning. He also enjoys watching sports—a huge fan of the NBA and NHL—and has a passion for playing tennis.
